Not a great product

I heard this was a cheap way to do some EMF work. Cheap is right. The price may be low, but you get what you pay for. This thing will pick up every little EMF output and go bonkers. It picked up my cell phone, which was on but not being used, and lit up almost all the way. It also picks up ceiling fans, cameras, refrigerators, etc. and acts as if they are high emissions.

Simple to use

The device is easy to use. There is an on/off button, push once to turn on and release, it stays on. Push it again to turn it off. It fits easily in one hand, so it frees up the other hand to carry another item. Only drawback is the needle is bouncy when moved, or simply walking. But I do reccomend this for ghost hunting. It's a cost effective must have!

Ghosties Abound!

I've used this many times when I was ghost hunting and got some awesome results.
My team and I were in the cemetery and were walking around the area, my cohort had the EMF reader and was getting a blip in a certain area of the cemetery where there were no electrical devices etc.
This is what we found...
We had planted an EVP recorder around a statue in the cemetery. I had asked anyone who wanted to tell us anything to go ahead and speak into the device. When we returned to the statue, the EMF jumped into the green. When walking towards the statue the EMF read even higher into the green. There were no EMF readings by this statue before we planted the EVP recorder.
Our theory is that there were many spirits gathered around the statue and when we returned they were giving off EMF readable energy.

Unclear readings, consider it a child's toy.

Very cheap feel, not to mention looks like a kids toy. I am the co-founder of the very small Southern New England Association of Paranormal Studies, and we purchased one of these because of low funds and just looking for a very basic EMF meter. When I used this to test out accuracy on electrical equipment it would not give clear readings. There was either nothing or it was spiking like crazy.

A great disappointment

This product has far too limited a scale to be any use. It flips between off the scale and zero with no in-between readings, at the slightest altering of the angle, or a centimeter or two's forwards or backwards motion.

The package contains no instructions as to usage of the device, just a blurb about ghosts giving off emf which looked like it was printed out from a web page.

I returned the item, and given the fact that all of the EMF sensors have such good reviews, I'm reluctant to try another item to replace it. The "This product is amazing!" reviews are greatly misleading.
